Do we rely too heavily on GPS directions?

It seems like everyone has a smartphone or some kind of device giving drivers a digital personal assistant navigating them to their destination. But is blind faith in the navigator in our phone a good idea, and should we relearn the old-fashioned ways of finding our way around?
