L-train smell

Residents who live along North 7th Street in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn say they can't escape the toxic smell coming from the L-train subway line. The fumes have infiltrated their homes. Last week, the smell started sickening and concerning residents, riders, and MTA workers. MTA officials say the smell is coming from nonflammable heating oil that leaked onto the tracks. The underground smell seeping onto the streets and into homes.
