Fortnite popularity
Amy Selling says her sons, Zach and Parker, used to play video games for a half hour at a time. Now they play Fortnite and are gone in that world for hours. She wrote about her children's Fortnite addiction on her blog "Lulu and Lattes" wondering if she was alone in her need to set Fortnite parameters. She soon heard from parents all around the world whose kids disappeared into these 20-minute survival rounds in which 100 players build forts, loot for weapons and power-ups, and hunt one another to survive on shrinking maps in far more cartoonish engagements than one might find in shooter-games like "Call of Duty."
