
Earthquake rocks Mexico
An 8.1-magnitude earthquake hit Mexico overnight killing and injuring dozens of people. The earthquake hit off Chiapas state near the Guatemalan border. This quake was the most powerful recorded in Mexico in more than 100 years. It was so powerful that tremors were felt 650 miles away in Mexico City. It even sent aftershocks all the way up to the U.S. border. Hundreds of buildings were damaged and destroyed.
