Eclipse party on the Intrepid

During the eclipse, people packed onto the flight deck of the Intrepid Museum on the West Side of Manhattan to witness history. While the clouds provided some unwanted interruptions, they ultimately made way for the eclipse to be on clear display around 2:41 p.m. By late afternoon it was all over but people in the crowd left with pictures and plenty of selfies to remember the rare celestial event.
