Meet the NYC studio making the Met Gala's flowers
As the Met Gala returns to New York City, some of the stars walking the red carpet will be adorned with handmade fabric flowers crafted in the heart of Manhattan’s Garment District. M&S Schmalberg has been in business for over 100 years and is now the last domestic factory of its kind. Celebrities like Uma Thurman and Cynthia Erivo have worn their creations. FOX 5’s Michelle Ross visited the family-run studio to see how these one-of-a-kind flowers are made—and how a 4-year-old may carry the legacy into the next generation.
