NYC Mayoral candidates' subway safety plans
Subway safety is a top priority for New Yorkers, and leading mayoral candidates are unveiling their plans to tackle crime and improve security in the transit system. Andrew Cuomo, Zohran Mamdani, Brad Lander, and Scott Stringer have each proposed different strategies, from hiring more NYPD officers to creating new mental health response teams and providing housing for homeless individuals with severe mental illness.
