COVID survivor's incredible journey

As the world marks five years since COVID-19 was declared a global pandemic, Pastor Benjamin Thomas is reflecting on his harrowing battle with the virus. One of the first in the New York area to be hospitalized with severe complications, Pastor Thomas spent over 100 days in the hospital, including six weeks in a coma. His lungs were permanently damaged, and he eventually required a life-saving lung transplant at Mount Sinai Health System. Now, Pastor Thomas says he is grateful for his second chance at life and is back to preaching and living with purpose. FOX 5’s Meredith Gorman shares his remarkable journey of survival.
