Latino leaders demand apology from Rep. Lawler
Latino leaders in Westchester are demanding an apology from Rep. Mike Lawler after he questioned the citizenship status of County Legislator José Alvarado during a public meeting on immigration. Alvarado, a Honduran immigrant and U.S. citizen who has served in public office since 2001, called the comment “ignorant” and “shocking.” Lawler has refused to apologize despite mounting criticism. Fox 5’s Teresa Priolo has the latest on the controversy and the growing calls for accountability.
