NY state trooper turns himself in after shooting

The New York State trooper who said he was shot during an October traffic stop on Long Island turned himself in to police Monday morning. Prosecutors say Thomas Mascia actually shot himself and lied about it. Now Mascia and his parents are facing charges. FOX 5 NY's Jessica Formoso has the latest. Clarification: Mascia is not accused of using the gun found in his parents' bedroom to shoot himself, rather, used a different gun found in the house, according to the DA. The gun found in the bedroom, however, is connected to his parents' gun charges.
