Appeals court rules that abortion pill Mifepristone can remain available

Abortion rights activists can breathe a small sigh of relief after a federal appeals court in Louisiana ruled that the FDA's approval of the abortion pill, mifepristone, should remain in effect and available. This comes after a Texas judge banned the pill while the FDA's approval is reexamined. The latest ruling does impose restrictions on the use of the pill, limiting availability to up to seven weeks of pregnancy and requiring a visit to the doctor before access is granted.
