President Donald Trump hosted the inaugural meeting of his Board of Peace in Washington, where representatives from more than 40 countries gathered to discuss post-war reconstruction for Gaza. Trump announced that nine member nations pledged a combined $7 billion for Gaza relief and rebuilding efforts, part of his broader peace initiative. Trump called the board “one of the most important things” of his presidency while also criticizing some major U.S. allies for not joining the group. In remarks at the event, Trump said talks were also underway with Iranian officials even as regional tensions remain a concern.
