We usually see them out west, but several parts of the tristate area battled a series of wildfires. Just recently, New York City faced its first drought warning in more than two decades. A statewide burn ban will also be in effect until Nov. 30. Brush fires ripped through some of the city?s major parks like Prospect, Van Courtlandt, and Inwood Hill.
