In its newly released annual report, the ADL recorded 1,437 antisemitic incidents in New York State alone, surpassing the previous record set the year before. Many of these occurred in public places and on college campuses. The ADL says the biggest spike followed the October 7, 2023 Hamas attacks in Israel, with more than half of the nationwide incidents tied to Israel-related rhetoric.
