CINCINNATI (AP) — Baseball's All-Star Game for 2015 is history and once again the best of the American League beat the best of the National. With Mike Trout leading the game off with a home run, the AL won last night's contest in Cincinnati 6-3. For his efforts Trout was named the game's MVP.

ANDREWS, Scotland (AP) — Jordan Spieth (speeth) and the rest of the world's top golfers, with one exception, are in St. Andrews, Scotland, prepping for the start of play tomorrow in the British Open. The lone exception is Rory McIlroy sitting on the sidelines with an injury he suffered while playing soccer with friends.
DALLAS (AP) — Deron Williams is now a member of the Dallas Mavericks. After clearing waivers and accepting a buyout with the Nets, Williams accepted a two-year, $10 million package that includes a player option for the second season. He averaged 13 points and 6.6 assists while starting 55 of his 68 games last season with Brooklyn.
UNDATED (AP) — A U.S. Magistrate has ruled the NCAA must pay more than $46 million in bills stemming from last year's Ed O'Bannon case. Judge Nathanael Cousins wrote in his 28-page ruling that the organization was responsible for slightly more than $44.2 million in fees for O'Bannon's lawyers, and another $1.5 million in costs and expenses.
ST. ANDREWS, Scotland (AP) — Donald Trump's comments about Mexican immigrants could cost him the British Open. Organizers of the event are mulling over the option of dropping Turnberry from the championship rotation following comments by Trump, the course's owner. He recently purchased Turnberry, a links resort on the west coast of Scotland that has hosted the British Open four times.
