Women sought for subway slashing

A man ended up getting slashed after accidentally stepping on a woman's foot in the subway in Upper Manhattan.

Police say it happened just after noon on Wednesday.  A 24-year-old man was on board a northbound A train when he mistakenly stepped on a woman's foot.  Another woman with her became irate and began yelling at the man.

When the train arrived at the 207 Street station the two women attempted to block the man from getting off of the train.  He was finally able to exit the train but the dispute continued in the mezzanine.

As he was trying to leave the station, the first woman began to hit the victim multiple times with her purse.  The second woman then pulled out a box cutter and slashed the man's lower left back and right arm.

The women then took off and have not been seen since.

The victim sustained two lacerations and was taken via EMS to Allen Pavillion Hospital, where he was treated and released.

Police released a photo of the first suspect.  She  is described as Hispanic, approximately 25-years-old, 5'7" tall, 150 pounds, with a light complexion, a medium build, long brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a tank top.

The second woman is described as Hispanic, approximately 40-years-old, 5'5" tall, 150 pounds, with a light complexion and brown hair. She was last seen wearing a purple shirt.
