Woman found dead in car at fast-food restaurant

HACKENSACK, N.J. (AP) — Authorities say an elderly New York woman has been found dead in her car at a fast-food restaurant in northern New Jersey.

The 78-year-old woman's body was found Monday morning at a Burger King on Hackensack Ave. in Hackensack. A cause of death has not been determined, but foul play is not suspected.

The Record reports the woman had told workers at the restaurant on Friday night that she was afraid to drive home due to the snowstorm that was hitting the region. She apparently died sometime over the weekend.

Authorities say her car was not running and the keys were not in the ignition when she was found.

The woman's name has not been released, pending notification of relatives.
