Volvo is recalling 413,151 vehicles because of a rearview camera display issue, which can lower a driver’s view behind a car, raising the risk of a crash.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration explained in a recall notice that the rearview camera display image might not display properly when the car is in reverse. When this occurs, the vehicles fail to meet the requirements of the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard for "rear visibility."
