Violent robbery of dollar store caught on video

A robbery inside a Family Dollar store in the Bronx turned violent when the men who were stealing underwear and air freshners threatened workers who confronted them with a syringe and knife.

Video of the incident shows the first robber attempting to walk out of the store with a blue bag when he's stopped by an employee. A fight ensues. The video then shows the second robber forcing his way into the store vestibule with a knife.

After a struggle with the store workers, both suspects take off northbound on Clinton Ave.

The robbers stole 23 packages of boxers and 15 bottles of air freshner, according to police.

Cops are asking for the public's help tracking down the thieves.

The first individual is a male, Hispanic, in his 40s, 5'8" tall, with his hair in a ponytail. He was last seen wearing a black and gray sweater, blue jeans and black and white sneakers.

The second individual is a male, Hispanic, in his 40s, 5'8" tall. He was last seen wearing a gray sweater, blue jeans, black sneakers and he carried a black backpack.
