VIDEO: Man passes out on subway tracks

It was a scary situation as commuters frantically tried to rescue a man who fell unconscious onto subway tracks Thursday morning at the Avenue H station in Flatbush, Brooklyn.

Terrified witnesses yelled for an approaching Q train to stop. Luckily it did.

Liliana Vicente said she had never saved anyone before. She and two others then climbed down onto the rails and helped pull the man back onto the platform. Vicente doesn't consider herself a hero. She said she did what she hopes anyone would do.

Medics responded to the station and took the man to Kings County Hospital in serious condition. His identity was not released.

One of the rescuers wrote on Facebook, "Whatever happens, we always have to help people."
