Cypress Hills fire engulfs Brooklyn home, families displaced

Several families are displaced Wednesday morning after a large fire in Brooklyn.

Citizen App video shows flames engulfing the home on Essex Street just before 3 a.m. in the Cypress Hills section

Officials say the fire broke out on the first floor and spread throughout the building.

Multiple pedestrians struck by vehicle in Manhattan

Authorities say a car struck the victims at the intersection of East 42nd Street and Lexington Avenue at around 5:30 p.m. in Midtown.

It took more than 130 firefighters to put out the blaze.

No injuries were reported. 

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
