Two arrested after drug bust finds $1.5 million worth of heroin

A major drug bust has put two suspects behind bars in Rockdale County, according to a Facebook post by the Sheriff's Office.

The Surge Team for the Sheriff's office took over 10 lbs of heroin, a street value of over $1.5 million, off of the streets.

Luis Ramirez-Jaramillo and Marco Valdez are in custody at the Rockdale County Jail and have been charged with trafficking heroin, according to officials.

The operation occurred in the parking lot of the Wal-Mart Supercenter at 1436 Dogwood Drive Conyers, Georgia. Following the operation at Wal-Mart, a search warrant was conducted at an address on Fox Chase Court in Conyers where drug proceeds were recovered and seized.
