Truck hits homes on Staten Island

NEW YORK (FOX5NY) - A large flat-bed truck hit three homes on Staten Island on Monday morning.  It happened in the Mariners Harbor section of the borough.

It happened just before 6 a.m. on South Avenue when the truck carrying metal construction material careened off of the road.  There was one civilian and one firefighter who were injured.

At least one parked car was also damaged in the incident.

The truck was leaking fuel after the incident.  The FDNY and NYPD were at the scene.
