Truck crashes over bridge on Bronx epressway

A tractor trailer was left hanging over the Sheridan Parkway after a crash on the Cross Bronx Expressway.

It happened Monday morning.  Pictures from the scene showed the back truck laying on top of a white Dodge Caravan and the cab hanging over the overpass.

The driver of the truck was able to get out with non-life threatening injuries.

Con Ed is trying to deactivate power lines on the expressway because there are concerns of a fuel spill and the possibility of wires igniting a fire.

It was unclear what caused the accident.  The crash was causing traffic snarls in the area.
