Transit problems blamed on weather; updates
NEW JERSEY (FOX 5 NEWS) - Rail service along the Northeast Corridor -- both New Jersey Transit and Amtrak -- has been restored after fallen wires near Linden, New Jersey, caused a disruption earlier Monday. The North Jersey Coast Line on New Jersey Transit was also suspended between New York Penn Station and Long Branch. Significant delays remain.
NJ Transit and private carrier bus lines and PATH cross-honoring continues.
The MTA said that a fallen utility pole near Oceanside, Long Island, caused delays on the Long Beach Branch of the LIRR. Some other LIRR and Metro-North lines also experienced delays.
