Tommy DeCarlo, lead singer of Boston, dies at 60

Tommy DeCarlo, lead vocalist for the rock band Boston, has died after a battle with brain cancer, his family confirmed in a Facebook post.

He was 60 years old.

"It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our Dad, Tommy DeCarlo, on Monday, March 9th, 2026," the post read. "After being diagnosed with brain cancer last September, he fought with incredible strength and courage right up until the very end."

According to TMZ, DeCarlo became Boston’s lead singer after original frontman Brad Delp died in 2007. In 2021, he released the audiobook "Unlikely Rockstar — The Tommy DeCarlo Story," which chronicles his life leading up to his first performance with the band.
