Teen trying to get phone off track killed by train

NEW YORK (FOX 5 NY) - A teenager was killed by a subway train in Queens on Sunday afternoon after she went onto the train to get her phone, according to police.

Authorities said the 13-year-old girl was hit by a southbound R train at the 63rd Drive- Rego Park station just before 4 p.m.

Police say that Deena Kadribasic has climbed down from the platform onto the tracks but was not able to get up in time when the train entered the station.  She was taken to Elmhurst Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
