Teen attending Lollapalooza music festival dies

A teen who was attending the Lollapalooza music festival in Chicago died after an unknown medical emergency.

The annual multi-day festival draws hundreds of thousands of music fans to the city's Grant Park.

About 7:50 p.m., 16-year-old Evan Katz-Miller was taken by a private ambulance to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Chicago Police and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office said.

Office of Emergency Management and Communications labeled the incident as a "medical emergency" in a statement that was released Monday.

The medical examiner’s office will determine a cause of death. Katz-Miller was a resident of northwest Chicago suburb of Mundelein.  Police were continuing an investigation.

Lollapalooza organizers issued a statement saying:  "The individual's family and loved ones are in our thoughts during this difficult time.
