Taxi involved in deadly hit-and-run
NEW YORK (FOX5NY) - A woman was killed by a taxi that didn't stop at the scene, according to the NYPD. It happened about 5:09 a.m. Wednesday morning at 68th and Lexington Ave. on the Upper East Side.
The woman was rushed to the hospital but it was too late.
Police say the cab should have front end damage. That area, near Hunter College, has several security cameras and are expected to be able to identify the cab that was involved.
The road remained closed for several hours.
Police did not release any other details.
