Suspects sought in assault, robbery near Temple's Campus

Police in North Philadelphia are searching for three suspects involved in an assault and robbery near Temple University's campus.

Residents say it's scary to think about what happened last Tuesday at 3:00 a.m. on Cecil B. Moore Avenue.

Surveillance video captured three teens following a 23-year-old man towards 17th Street. They walk faster and get closer to their victim before they move in a punch from one of the suspects sends the unsuspecting man to the ground.

The men continued to beat the victim before leaving him on the street with his jaw was broken and his pockets emptied.

Philadelphia Police Lt. John Stanford says they want your help tracking these three teens down.  One wearing a Ladanian Tomlinson San Diego Chargers jersey , and all of them are believed to be between 16 and 19 years old.

The assault happened on a few blocks off of Temple University's campus. Students and people who live in the neighborhood say they always try to be careful and aware.

Police don't want this three against one style of attack to happen again, and they want the accused caught. Authorities are hoping the teens' parents will see this story and the brutal video and do the right thing.

"With this video out there may've the parents will wake up , see this and give us a call and address the issues that need to be addressed with their kids," Lt. Stanford explained.
