The NYPD arrested a suspect Tuesday in connection with the triple shooting outside a nightclub in the Flatiron District early Monday morning. A man shot three women outside the Motivo nightclub, killing one. The shooting followed a dispute earlier in the night involving the gunman, the security guards, and a party planner.

Cops took Dalone “Smack” Jamison, 26, of the Bronx, into custody without incident at about 11:30 a.m. based on tips to authorities, reported the NY Post. After several hours, the NYPD announced that Jamison was placed under arrest and charged with murder, assault, and criminal possession of a weapon.

Walikque Faussett, 24, of the Bronx, was shot in the back. She died several hours later at Bellevue Hospital Center. A 30-year-old woman was hit in the shoulder and a 25-year-old was wounded in the hip and foot, police said. They are listed in stable condition.

The incident began when Jamison allegedly exchanged words with the person planning the All Black Party going on inside the club. He also exchanged words with the security guards.

Jamison said he was going to his car and returned with a gun, according to police.

He began firing just as the three women were leaving at about 4 a.m., said police.

The gunman took off in a dark colored BMW. Police said they were tracking him down using his license plate number.
