Storm causes LIRR service problems
NEW YORK (FOX 5 NEWS) - A powerful storm system that moved across the New York area Monday caused service disruptions on the Long Island Rail Road.
The storm caused signal problems and downed a tree on the tracks.
Service has been restored with residual delays.
The Port Washington Branch was suspended in both directions because of a fallen tree on the tracks east of Flushing.
MTA police officers closed off Penn Station until service resumed.
