Precipitation was coming to a close Monday morning after overnight snow fall blanketed the region.

New York City announced Sunday night that all public schools in the city would be closed on Monday due to the storm.

There were many school closings and delays reported.

The New York City Department of Transportation announced that Alternate Side Parking Regulations will be suspended Monday and Tuesday, to facilitate snow removal. Payment at parking meters will remain in effect throughout the city.

The second March storm came as a below-average snow season neared an end in the tristate area.  It will be followed later in the week with well below normal temperatures that could dip into single digits.
