Sen. Ted Cruz disses "New York values"

Ted Cruz, Texas senator and Republican presidential candidate, will join his counterparts for a nationally televised debate on the FOX Business channel Thursday night.

He's likely to go head-to-head with Donald Trump, who remains in the lead among GOP voters.

And the New York City real estate mogul might take Cruz to task for comments he recently made about Big Apple values.

"The rest of the country knows what New York values are. I got to say they are not Iowa values and they are not New Hampshire values."

Cruz made the comment on Tuesday during a radio interview as he dismissed Trump's use of the song "Born in the USA" at his rallies- a dig at Cruz who was born in Canada.

"I think he may shift in his new rallies to play ‘New York, New York,’" said Cruz, "Because Donald comes from New York and he embodies New York values."

The FOX Business GOP presidential debate begins at 9 p.m.
