Scott Baio: I was attacked for supporting Trump
Actor Scott Baio says he was attacked because of his support of Donald Trump.
Baio filed a police report with the Ventura County Sheriff's Department claiming the wife of the Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer attacked him at an event at the elementary school their children attend.
TMZ reports that Nancy Mack, who is married to drummer Chad Smith, is a vocal anti-Trump supporter who has called Trump a racist. She allegedly began berating and cursing Baio.
Baio asked her to quiet down because kids were present, but Mack kept going, and asked how he could support a man who said, "Grab 'em by the p----."
Baio told police that Mack then attacked him, grabbing him under his arms and then shaking and pushing him.
The incident remains under investigation and TMZ reports that Mack is listed as a battery suspect.
Baio appeared as a speaker at the Republican National Convention this past summer.
