A retired firefighter who was in the Twin Towers on 9/11 will never forget his fallen colleagues. Tim Brown is keeping their memories alive by doing the Tunnel to Towers Tower Climb. He says that doing the tower climb is not a privilege -- it's an honor.

Thinking of others first comes naturally to Brown, 53. At age 15, he decided he wanted to be a fireman. He became a member of New York's Bravest by age 22. He covered Harlem, Washington Heights and The Bronx as part of Rescue 3 Special Ops Division.

On 9/11 he was with the Office of Emergency Management and had been inside both towers that morning before they collapsed.

Tim lost his best friend, Capt. Terrence Hatton. Memories of his best friend and others he knew are now kept firmly in his heart.

He retired from the FDNY in 2004 after 20 years of proud service.

This will be his second tower climb. And anyone who knows Timmy can confirm it won't be his last.
