Report: Girls want to be sexy Harley Quinn for Halloween

NEW YORK (FOX 5 NEWS) - Remember the days when all that your little girl wanted to be for Halloween was a princess? Well, those days might as well be fairy tales.

The most in-demand Halloween costume is now Harley Quinn, the sexy super hero from the movie "Suicide Squad," according to the website Frightgeist.

Britney Rios, a sales associate at Abracadabra in Chelsea, says kids don't want the traditional Harley Quinn from the cartoon. They want the sexier style from the movie.

And it isn't just Harley Quinn that is super popular. All super heroes are popular this Halloween. Basically if you're child has seen it on TV or in the movies, they want to be it.

Dr. Ben Michaelis, a clinical psychologist, says bad guys may be OK but putting a child in a sexy outfit can be damaging.

Experts say if your child is insistent on being a sexy character it's not like you can magically change their minds. But you can make the outfit more modest.
