Rene Angelil, Celine Dion's husband, dies
FOX 5 NEWS - Rene Angelil, the husband of singer Celine Dion, has died of cancer. He was 73.
Several media outlets reported his death, which was confirmed by a message posted to Dion's official Facebook page.
Angelil "passed away this morning at his home in Las Vegas after a long and courageous battle against cancer," the post read. "The family requests that their privacy be respected at the moment; more details will be provided at a later time."
Angelil and Dion were married in 1994. They had three children. He has several children from prior relationships.
Angelil was a singer in his native Canada and served as Dion's manager for many years.
