New Jersey Transit announced just after 8 a.m. Thursday that rail service had resumed on a stretch of the Northeast Corridor line after a "trespasser incident."
The service was suspended in both directions early between Metropark in Woodbridge Township and Trenton.
The agency said commuters would experience delays and some cancelations throughout the morning rush.
Authorities did not disclose details about the incident that led to the suspension, saying only that it occurred near Metuchen.
