Queens principal ready for New York City Triathlon
Greg Dutton is the principal of Queens Metropolitan High School in Forest Hills. He is getting ready for his first Panasonic New York City Triathlon.
A dozen of his students past and present and Dean Eric Stein, who also serves as the school's triathlon head coach, are not only cheering him on, they are training with him.
The kids have a genuine affection for their principal. They appreciate that Mr. Dutton is interested in them not only as students but as athletes and individuals as well.
The Panasonic New York City Triathlon is Sunday, July 19, 2015. It entails a 1,500-meter swim in the Hudson River, a 40-kilometer bike ride on the Henry Hudson Parkway and Mosholu Parkway, and a 10-kilometer run along West 72nd Street and in Central Park.
