Queens man pleads guilty in 4-month-old son's 2014 death
NEW YORK (AP) — A Queens man has pleaded guilty to assault and manslaughter in connection to the death of his four-month-old son, who suffered multiple skull fractures.
Queens District Attorney Richard Brown said Friday that Jagsheer Singh faces 18 years in prison when he is sentenced on Nov. 4.
Authorities said the Singh, 28, had been left with his son in December 2014 while his wife went to work. The next day the child was taken to the hospital, where an examination showed the skull fractures, brain injury and retinal hemorrhages. The boy died a few days later.
