An art teacher in upstate New York is accused of having a relationship with a student at her high school, according to the New York State Police.
Authorities charged Ashley Kaufmann, 30, with forcible touching and endangering the welfare of a child, both misdemeanors, police said. She teaches at Port Jervis High School.
She had physical contact with a 16-year-old boy, police said.
Police issued Kaufmann an appearance ticket to be in court on August 5 and released her.
