Police: Producer AraabMuzik targeted in shooting

NEW YORK (FOX 5 NEWS) - A successful hip-hop producer is lucky to be alive after being shot in Harlem last week. Detectives say it wasn't a random act of violence. Police think AraabMuzik was targeted.

The 26-year-old hip hop music producer's government name is Abraham Orellana. Police told Fox 5 Orellana was driving out of a West 126th Street parking garage when he was shot in his jaw and arm. A bullet grazed his head.

Police sources said that he was clearl targeted. Two suspects approached the car, and motioned for the producer to roll down his window, acting like he dropped something. Orellana did, and that is when the gunman shot him using a .380 semi-automatic handgun.

We talked with the attendant who told us she was glad she was not working at the time and was not authorized to comment.
