Police: Mom robbed bank while baby was in car

Cops on Long Island arrested a woman for robbing a bank while she left her baby in her getaway car Wednesday morning, authorities said.

Madison Munoz, 20, of Shirley, New York, faces charges of robbery and endangering the welfare of a child, Suffolk County Police said.

Authorities said she demanded cash from a teller at Bridgehampton National Bank at 630 Montauk Highway in Shirley just before 10 a.m. After the teller handed over some money, Munoz left the bank and drove off, police said.

Witness described the car to cops, who pulled it over a short time later. Officers arrested Munoz and found her 10-month-old son in the car.

Munoz was set to be held behind bars overnight and arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip Thursday.

Police released the baby to family members and notified county Child Protective Services.
