Police: 5 people shot in Newark
NEWARK, N.J. (AP) -- Authorities said five people have been shot in Newark, and two of them have been critically injured.
Witnesses reported hearing dozens of gunshots Monday night at or near a home in the city.
Acting Public Safety Director Anthony Ambrose told NJ.com that two of the victims showed up at a hospital, and the remaining three were found at the scene.
Authorities said they recovered four weapons and a large amount of marijuana.
No arrests have been made.
It's unclear what led to the shooting. Police continue to investigate.
