PHOTOS: Day in the Life in NYC
NEW YORK (FOX5NY) - On July 11, 2018, the staff of Fox 5 News took to the streets to embark on an ambitious project. The goal: to record 'day in the life' of New York City.
As far as we can tell, this is the first time such an effort has been attempted on such a large scale.
From midnight to midnight we dropped the video and grabbed our phones.
Along the way, we learned a few things, the most important being that New York is not a great city because of its majestic bridges or tall buildings. New York is a great city because of its people.
Throughout the city, we found diverse, friendly and open people happy to interact. (And happy to have their picture taken!)
New Yorkers representing people from all over the world live and work side-by-side on a daily basis.
It’s that spirit that makes New York 'the greatest city in the world.'
The effort produced over two hundred photos. Below are the ones chosen by our editors.
