Person rescued from tracks in Penn Station

Dozens of first responders converged in Penn Station Friday when someone ended up on the tracks.

The MTA said that service on the track was briefly suspended and did not expect further impacts to LIRR service.

Bystander Ed Keenan shot cellphone video of the rescue, which showed police officers, medics, and firefighters at the scene, working feverishly to get the person to safety and medical care.

Rescuers rushed the person to Cornell Hospital in critical condition, the FDNY said.
