Perseid meteor shower

The Perseid meteor shower peaks early Thursday.

With clear skies in the forecast for Wednesday into Thursday, conditions will be ideal to watch the show. 

The Perseid meteor shower runs through Aug. 14.

The show begins during the darkest time before the new moon on the 14th.

If you want to watch, look to the northeast.

There will be one meteor per minute.
