Owner says dog shot in Central Park

A man walking his dog in Central Park says the black Labrador Retriever was shot in the head.  The alleged shooting took place Tuesday at about 11 p.m. near 110th Street and Central Park West.  The dog ran off from its owner near a hill. When the man caught up with the dog, he found it it dead with a wound to the head, said police.
