NYPD releases sketch of suspect in deadly package explosion

The NYPD has released a sketch of a man wanted for questioning in connection with the death of a Queens landlord who was burned when a package exploded in his hands last week.

Police described the "person of interest" as black, 30 to 35 years old, 5 feet 11 inches tall, about 160 pounds, with dark eyes, and a mustache.

The exploding package burned George Wray's head, legs, and torso on July 28, 2017, police said. Wray was taken to Nassau University Medical Center, where he died Tuesday, police said.

The NYPD described the package containing the explosive as a cylinder about the size of an oatmeal container. It had been sitting on the porch of the home for about a week.

If you recognize the man in the sketch or have any other information, the NYPD wants you to contact Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS (8477).  Police say that all calls are confidential.
